Week 5

The weather improved as the week wore on. By midweek, they had removed the blankets from the basement floor and filled in around the edges of the walls and in the garage area with stone. They laid out the basement with chalk lines, so I got to kind of see how that is going to look. We have decided to put a full kitchen in the basement which will allow us to not have to have two ovens upstairs and will make entertaining down there easier. Will be putting up a wall midway from back to front in the garage portion of the basement so that the 4-wheeler(s), golf cart, mowers, etc are separate from the rest of the unfinished part of the basement and we can vent it and not have to condition it like the rest of the house.

Weather forecase is OK for the upcoming week, with highs around 40 or so and not real cold at night. So, our expectation is that the framers will be there this week and we will have walls up during week 6. We'll see :)
